Centre for Training Excellence in Mining (CTEM): Engagement, Strategic Planning, and Evaluation

Howegroup conducted comprehensive stakeholder engagement to inform an environmental scan, identify key influences in the sector, and priorities for the organization. We then planned and facilitated a two-day strategic planning session with the Board focusing on mission, vision, values, priority areas, and risks. The final deliverable was a two-year strategic plan to lead the work of the CTEM Board.
This work led to the development of the underground miner training program. Howegroup worked on the initial strategy that provided the foundation for the curriculum design and delivery and is supporting urban, rural, and remote communities in the planning and implementation of the program. Howegroup designed the evaluation in collaboration with CTEM’s Advisory Council. The evaluation is examining the impact of underground miner training curriculum for program participants and mine sites.
