SafeCare BC: Organizational Start-Up, Strategic Planning, Needs Assessments, Sector Engagement

Howegroup was contracted to plan and action the organizational start of SafeCare BC, the health and safety association for long-term care and home health workers in BC. The work included a province-wide needs assessment, business plan, communication plan, staffing model as well as the oversight of all legal requirements (policies and bylaws). Howegroup was responsible for the planning and implementation of the organization from conception through to hiring the first staff and securing office space. This work involved collaborating with seniors care providers, WorkSafe BC and unions.

Since SafeCare BC’s inception Howegroup has led strategic planning, needs assessments, and membership surveys. We are honoured to continue working with SafeCare BC to support the improvement of health and safety for front-line workers in the industry.
